These are the stories on the front pages of Wednesday's newspapers:

The Times of Malta reveals that the chairman of the Arts Council overruled the decision of an expert panel with regards to a competition. It also reports that the Environment and Resources Authority is rather displeased about the project to add a lane on Tal-Balal Road.

The Malta Independent reports that Wied il-Għasri will be turned into a swimming zone next summer, and that Wasteserv has applied for two new landfill projects.

Three stories were on the front page of In-Nazzjon: the lack of police resources in Gozo, the poor AirlineRatings.com ranking of Air Malta's product, and the industrial directives being taken by staff at Mount Carmel.

L-Orizzont reports on Malta's top ranking as a Bitcoin jurisdiction, and also on the Prime Minister's call for dialogue following talks with his Czech counterpart.

The Malta Today gives prominence to the amount of agricultural land that would be forfeited for the Central Link road project, as well as to the news that Valletta FC is close to signing a deal with Saudi investors.
