Good morning, the following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Monday.

Times of Mata quotes a government spokesman as saying there was 'no chance' that Malta would accept migrants picked up by Italy. It also reports how a woman was arrested after the police and Customs conducted a controlled delivery after intercepting a drug parcel in the mail. 

The Malta Independent reports how Italy's Transport Minister threatened sanctions against Malta for not picking up migrants. 

In-Nazzjon leads with reports of discontent among MFSA workers as the new CEO receives a pay packet of €150,000 while their own conditions deteriorate.

l-orizzont leads with remarks by the prime minister on Sunday on how a balance had to be sought in the immigration issue.  It also reports that a team of men offered €14,000 to carry the statue of the Assumption in Mġarr on Sunday.
