Good morning. This is a summary of what's making front pages in this Tuesday's local newspapers.

The Times of Malta reports that the Malta Financial Services Authority's top banking supervisor, Karol Gabarretta, has tendered his resignation after 15 years with the regulator.

In a separate story, the paper reports that a Vittoriosa statue of the Risen Chrost which ended up without an arm on Easter Sunday was damaged by a telecommunications cable. 

The Malta Independent reports that the Office of the Prime Minister has slammed the Nationalist Party for criticising its €5 million donation to Puttinu Cares, noting that the Individual Investor Programme PN MPs were criticising formed part of the party's electoral manifesto. 

L-Orizzont leads with news that unemployment figures were down again in February, with the paper quoting Jobsplus chairman Clyde Caruana as saying that the trend was repeating itself one month after the other. 

In-Nazzjon writes that the MFSA is trying to save its own skin, quoting banking experts as saying that the regulator treated Pilatus Bank differently to other applicants when granting it a banking licence.
