The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Sunday.

The Sunday Times of Malta reports that thieves are drilling through locks to burgle apartments in broad daylight, with a spike in burglaries reported in Sliema. 

It also reports that Nadine Lia, a lawyer who is reportedly set to be appointed magistrate, has undergone proceedings for misconduct.

The Malta Independent on Sunday says Air Malta paid a €15 million fuel bill after its annual general meeting so that it could show a profit. The story is also taken up by Il-Mument, which says Air Malta has a €15m financial hole.

It-Torċa says a 10-year plan is being drawn up for the use of EU funds. 

Illum says efforts have started within the PN to push Roberta Metsola and Claudio Grech for the leadership.

KullĦadd says Adrian Delia was weakened further when he was forced to suspend one of his supporters, Hermann Schiavone.
