Times of Malta says Malta is the only country within the European Union to report an increase in road fatalities in the period between 2010 and 2017. In another story, it says the police on Wednesday spoke to the driver of the tourist bus that was involved in a fatal accident on Monday.

In-Nazzjon says the police have analysed the mobile phone of the bus driver in the accident.

The Malta Independent says an Amsterdam cocktail of cocaine, crystal meth and a visit to a sex club without his fiancé’s knowledge culminated in a Maltese man calling in a bogus terrorist threat on a Dutch train last Christmas.
