Tipico continuously strives to implement appropriate measures to permanently guarantee the highest level of data protection and security possible, to seal the trust that the customers place in the company.
This year, Tipico’s data protection made a quantum leap with the implementation of an information security management system in close collaboration with TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH.
Tipico’s ISMS complies with the requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 27001:2005 and is continuously assessed, monitored and improved.
A preliminary exercise was carried out by auditors of TÜV Rheinland to determine which procedures the company was adopting. This was followed by training for staff and documentation checks.
Finally, on-site checks on the measurements’ implementation took place within all departments and the auditing team ensured Tipico and its teams met all expectations to the finer details.
The final results were forwarded to the certification commission accompanied by a recommendation to award Tipico with the much sought-after TÜV-certificate.
The official certificate was awarded to Tipico’s managers during a little get-together at the company’s head office at Portomaso, St Julian’s.
Established in 2004, Tipico provides customer entertain-ment through an international, young and dynamic team of experts in a wide range of different areas. It is licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority and the Lotteries and Gaming Authority.
The German-owned company, which occupies three floors at Portomaso Business Tower, announced its intention to double its workforce to 200-plus employees by 2013 when it hosted the Prime Minister at its premises on July 11.
