The final development application plans for a residential apartment block and a 17,000 square metre retail centre at Tigné Point has been approved by the Malta Environment and Planning Authority.
Tigné Point Marketing Ltd said the apartment development is the last in the Tigné South residential scheme and includes 59 units situated in one of the most tranquil quarters of this car-free zone, at the eastern edge of the peninsula. The apartments overlook Fort Tigné, Valletta and the mouth of the harbour.
The seafront apartments are planned around a private landscaped central courtyard and will include one, two or three bedroomed apartments.
Mepa also recently approved the development of a multi-level retail mall, including a department store, supermarket, cinema complex, retail spaces and underlying car parking facilities.
This shopping and leisure mall is an integral element in the Tigné Point scheme and has been designed to cater for ever more discerning shoppers and retailers, the company said.
