The Mellieħa Tigers Softball Club will be conducting a 12-day training camp in Italy, starting on July 2.

During their stay, the Tigers, under the stewardship of coach Roberto Andolfi, will also take part in a three-day tournament at San Martino Buon Albergo. The training camp will be held mainly at Castelfranco Veneto.

Italian and US teams will play in the tournament. Mellieħa Tigers' first match will be against Bollate Youths. Other teams taking part will be San Martino, New York Softball, La Loggia, Milano 1946 and SC Dolomiti.

In a statement, Mellieħa Tigers thanked coach Andolfi for his hard work and dedication to the club. Andolfi's contribution has helped the Tigers to establish themselves locally. At present, the club has three teams of nine players each.
