The next time you need root canal treatment, just be thankful you don't have a tooth that measures more than three inches long.
That's what dentists in Anchorage, Alaska, had to deal with on Thursday when they performed root canal work on a 300lb Siberian tiger.
Dr Doug Luiten performed the procedure on Kunali in a new operating room at the Alaska Zoo in Anchorage.
The zoo had to order special instruments for the big tooth, and even those had to be modified for the procedure.
By all accounts, Kunali did well during treatment. He wasn't restrained, but also didn't wake up during the hour-long procedure thanks to anaesthetic.
