The Brigitte Gauci Borda School of Ballet will be presenting Thumbelina, a ballet based on Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale of a tiny girl who comes to believe that if she follows her heart nothing is impossible.

The ballet is under the artistic direction of Brigitte Gauci Borda, who also pruduced this ballet with a cast of over 300 dancers. Choreographers include Anne Marie Busuttil, Ivelina Dimitrova, Brigitte Gauci Borda, Claudia Preca, Lynne Salomone Reynaud, Kristina Ann Schranz and Sue Vassallo. Costumes are by Alexanders, Simona Mamo, Doris Mercieca and Maria Pisani.

Light designer Peter Howitt is sure to give that magical touch to this fairytale ballet. Katia Rubei will be dancing the title role.

The second half of the show, entitled Collage, is a mixture of different dance styles from classical to avant-garde, choreographed by Ivelina Dimitrova, Brigitte Gauci Borda, Lynne Salomone Reynaud, Kristina Ann Schranz, Jes Sciberras and Sue Vassallo, with light design also by Peter Howitt, costumes by Alexanders, Ernest Camilleri and Doris Mercieca.
