Update 11.10am

Two men were seriously injured this morning in an Qawra crash that saw a van and car collide head-on. 

A 50-year-old man driving the van, a Peugeot, and two Bulgarian men in the Audi, aged 34 and 46 respectively, were taken to hospital for treatment. All three men are St Paul's Bay residents. 

The 50-year-old Peugeot driver is seriously injured, although his life is not in any danger. The 46-year-old Audi passenger was also seriously injured, while the 36-year-old driver suffered slight injuries, police said. 

The accident happened at around 7.30am on Triq It-Trunciera.
