Floriana will be without three key players for their BOV Premier League match against Naxxar Lions after midfielder Steve Pisani, goalkeeper Matthew Calleja Cremona and Slovenian striker Vito Plut were sanctioned following last Saturday’s defeat to Hibernians.

Pisani will miss two of Floriana’s remaining three games after being handed a two-match suspension for his dismissal in the 3-1 loss to newly-crowned champions Hibernians.

Calleja Cremona, given a straight red card by referee Marco Borg for his penalty-box foul on Jorginho in the first half, and Plut, banned for four yellow cards, will also have to skip Sunday’s game against the Lions after receiving a one-match ban.

The suspended trio join Amadou Samb on the sidelines as the Senegalese forward is serving a six-match ban.

Relegation strugglers Pietà Hotspurs will be without captain Christian Grech for their crucial clash with Żebbuġ Rangers after the central defender was suspended for his red card in the goalless stalemate against Naxxar Lions.

Alex Cini, banned for four yellow cards, will miss the match against Qormi while Sliema Wanderers have lost Djumo Bocard (four bookings) for their game against Mosta.

Mosta team manager Adrian Farrugia was suspended for five months after he was reported for passing disparaging remarks at Tarxien Rainbows coach Clive Mizzi in the dressing room area last Saturday.
