The 2007 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix takes place on April 13-14-15, but for ticket holders whose passes are for all three days the action starts early.

On Thursday three-day pass holders will be able to get up close to the stars and the cars and meet the most popular team in Bahrain: the Scuderia Ferrari.

Ferrari is the biggest name in world motor sport, having contested every season in the history of the FIA Formula One World Championship since it began in 1950. The scarlet cars of Italy have claimed no fewer than 14 drivers’ world championships and a further 14 constructors world championships since 1958. Ferrari, led by its inspirational star Michael Schumacher, claimed victory in the first ever Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prixin 2004.

The team will be going out to meet its fans on a ceremonial dhow in the F1 Village at the Bahrain International Circuit, immediately behind the main grandstand, at 2.30pm on Thursday.

The three-day ticket holders will also get into the heart of the action in the Formula One pit lane in an exclusive Pit Lane Walk. “It is a relaxed day to come and explore the circuit, to look at the cars and pit garages up close and Ferrari’s autograph session will be the icing on the cake. All year round you see fans in Ferrari t-shirts and caps, the team is such a good ambassador for the sport and we are delighted that it has agreed to come and meet the people who have bought three-day tickets" Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, Director of PR and Governmental Relations at the circuit said.
