It was open house at the Gozo citadel last night as celebrations were held to mark the completion of extensive restoration of the walled town, its bastion and ditch.

The celebration, hosted by the Ministry for Gozo, included entertainment, games, exhibitions and historical re-enactments.

All museums and attractions in the town were open for free, including the Gozo cathedral and chapels, law courts, museums and underground stores, war shelters and fortifications.
