An injured Libyan man is being flown to Malta aboard an air ambulance from Misurata this evening.

The extent of the man’s injuries is not known as yet.

He is the third Libyan to be ferried to Malta for treatment as the crisis in the North African country worsens.

During a press conference held yesterday Mario Cutajar, the head of the civil service, said more injured Libyans may be brought to Malta for treatment.
