Poland’s Eurovision singer, Marcin Mrozinski, is in Malta recording a number of songs with Malta’s contestant Thea Garrett this week, after the duo hit it off at this year’s Eurovision in Oslo.

They will be working on a cover version of the Phantom of the Opera and an original song to be launched in both Malta and Poland.

“We work really well together as we both have the same taste in music and the same style of voice,” an excited Thea told the Times during a rehearsal yesterday.

Thea and Marcin appeared to become best of buddies during the Oslo Eurovision contest last May, raising speculation about the true nature of their relationship.

However, when asked by The Times yesterday, Thea quickly shot that idea down: “We are friends only. Marcin and I work well together because we have the same character but the relationship is strictly professional. In fact, Marcin is working on several other recordings around Europe,” she said.

He will be on the island working on recordings until Friday.
