The Valletta Waterfront this afternoon hosted classic cars in the HSBC Concours d’Élegance as a curtain-raiser for the Valletta Grand Prix which will be held on the Valletta ring road tomorrow and on Sunday.

Enthusiasts were able to admire anything from Rolls Royces and Jaguars to humble Fiat 55s and quite a number of pre-war models lovingly cared for by car collectors.

The event was open to owners of pre-1976 Standard Classic Cars.

The show tomorrow starts at 9 a.m with practice sprint runs. There will be a show by drift cars between 10 a.m. and 10.50 at the Valletta Waterfront, followed by the Big Trucks, MDRA Drag Racing and ICC single seaters.

The cars return to the 'track' at 11 a.m for another practice run followed at noon by another show by the drift carsThe race sprint run will be held between 1.30 and 2.30 p.m.

Another race will be run between 3.30 and 4.30 pm. . A final circuit lap around Valletta will be made at 4.30 p.m.
