Vodafone team members from the Legal, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Department spent a day with the Ursuline Sisters at Piccola Casa di San Giuseppe in Valletta, helping out in the preparations for Christmas, and ensuring that the children hosted at the home enjoy a homely Christmas environment.
The Ursuline sisters currently care for 11 boys and girls aged between six and 17 years who come from difficult social backgrounds. The home is being renovated and refurbished in order to offer the children a better living environment.
Vodafone team members were touched by the Sisters’ efforts, led by Madre Denise and Sister Edelweiss, to change this home into a suitable home environment that gives the children a sense of home, community, privacy and love.
“This was such a rewarding experience that we all want to give more of our time to help make this home a suitable one for both the Sisters and the children,” said Jason Pavia from Vodafone Malta. “The work and love that the Ursuline sisters give to ensure a safe place for the children is incomparable. This is the true spirit of Christmas that stretches on throughout the year.”
The Vodafone day at Piccola Casa di San Giuseppe was organised in conjunction with a music video for charity that was produced by Vodafone employees in collaboration with MCAST students. A music video has been produced to help raise funds for the renovation works at Piccola Casa which include maintenance work of roofs and walls. Donations of €4.66 towards this initiative can be made on SMS number 5061 8092.
