World-record holder and stuntman for the Top Gear series Terry Grant is expected to be the main attraction for the ultimate four-day festival for car enthusiasts.

The Monster Energy Modifyit: Ultimate Car Show will unfold over four areas between Thursday and Sunday at the MFCC, Ta' Qali.

Grant is a 16-time world record holder, as well as a Guinness world record breaker for driving on two wheels through the narrowest gap.

He is also known to be one of the mystery drivers donning the suit of The Stig on the hit BBC series about cars, Top Gear.

Ahead of his Malta visit, Grant said he considered his biggest success was to turn something he was doing for fun into a career.

"It's progressed from just messing in a car park and spinning a car. I'm now assigned to an F1 team and I've performed in front of millions of people. It's my first time in Malta, so I'm really looking forward to it.

"I really love going to a country I've never performed in before. I know what the reaction is going to be. It is going to be a little crazy, and that's the success story for me."

The same motoring festival last year had attracted over 10,000 car enthusiasts.

The adrenaline-packed event is expected to be a showcase for high-speed and gravity-defying stunts, amid the sound of revved engines and the smell of burning tyres.

The Live Action arena will feature the participation of local motorsport practitioners.

The Indoor Exhibition Area will allow car, sound and speed enthusiasts to experience a 6,500m² area dedicated to Malta's most esteemed modified and SPL cars, including last year's Modifyit winning car.

This area will also feature various trade stands and competitions, including body-styling, engine and interior modification. It will also be the home of Malta's exclusive DB drag racing sound competition.

The festival will also provide entertainment for all the family, with popular live local acts, an exhibition area, a children's area and a food court.

Tickets are available from all Urban Jungle and Urban Culture Outlets, MFCC Ta'Qali and Handkrafts Valletta.
