Kindly allow me to voice my opinion regarding the continuous arrivals of illegal immigrants on our shores.

It is now not just apparent anymore but definite that our European counterparts care very little, if at all, about what goes on beyond their shores. Being polite and well mannered just doesn't work, while back patting and broad smiles just won't do. And what about Günter Verheugen? So much for all the harp and nice speeches filled with sweet nothings (or most of them anyway)! Now is the time for this gentleman to stand up and be counted.

While acknowledging the plight these people must be going through, I reiterate that this saga just cannot continue as otherwise our backs may snap. It is about time that something is done very quickly. The only solution is burden sharing. Otherwise, I am afraid something else may snap.

Perhaps, it is time to consider pulling out of the European Union altogether!
