The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominations today for the 86th Academy Awards.

Meryl Streep earned her 18th Oscar nomination for her performance in "August: Osage County." Streep will compete against Amy Adams in "American Hustle," Cate Blanchett in "Blue Jasmine," Sandra Bullock in "Gravity," and Judi Dench in "Philomena."

The awards will be handed out on March 2 in Los Angeles, California.
