These are true facts of life:
The spiritual atmosphere being enjoyed by the couple of hundred Naxxar and Mosta locals attending the excellently organised Sajda Muzewmina at the MUSEUM on Thursday, July 27, was rudely and continually disturbed by very loud big bangs coming from Lija between 7.30 and 8 p.m.
This very morning (July 30) resident patients whom I visited at Mount Carmel Hospital complained that their sleep is being regularly disturbed by big loud bangs after 11 p.m.
The concentration of students - who included the undersigned - taking ITEC examinations on July 1 and 2 in Sliema was continuously disturbed by loud big bangs, this time in the mornings.
Are the people responsible for these disturbances aware of these 'side effects' and of the serious consequences of their 'enjoyment'? Do they care?
