Some correspondents, in particular Celine Warrington, writing in these columns, may have a wrong conception regarding the makeup of TV programmes. Unfortunately, Melita plc rarely, if ever, reply to any communication referring to them. Their condescension would hardly encourage discussion on such issues since these programmes are transmitted from abroad and Melita itself has no influence on them.
These same programmes would be shown on channels provided by others.
For a while I received programmes simultaneously from the two main providers and I realised Melita had a better choice, albeit more costly. In fact, when I had asked the other TV service provider to start transmitting EWTN, which is free, the company never obliged.
