The grievances units set up by the government throughout the civil service to consider complaints about injustices which former government workers may have suffered as long ago as seven years ago continue to receive complaints until March 21, the government said.

The closing date for complaints had originally been set to last Monday but the government said it was extending it because of the number of complaints received.

The units were up in ministries and groups of ministries.

Workers were invited to personally report any injustice they may have suffered in the past seven years. Complaints had to be made in writing to the permanent secretary in each ministry and, as far as possible, be accompanied by documentation.
