The European Commission Representation in Malta launched the 10th Edition of the European Film Festival on Saturday. The festival will run until May 8.

To celebrate this anniversary, the representation is offering Maltese audiences not only films from the EU member states but also from outside the European Union.

This edition will feature a variety of films, 24 of which will be screened at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Valletta and another two at the Citadel Theatre in Gozo.

The following is a list of some of the films being screened this week:

Today: Greece
Massalla, Kori Makrini (2003) Marseilles, A Greek Profile;

Tomorrow: Sweden
Zozo (2005);

Wednesday: Ireland
Ireland boy from Mercury (1996);

Thursday: Denmark
Direktøren for det hele (1999) The Boss of It All;

Friday: Estonia
Malev (2005) Men At Arms;

Saturday: Hungary
Lora (2006);

Sunday: Germany
Wer früher stribt, ist länger tot (2006) Grave Decisions.
