The numbers of new cases of tuberculosis in Malta stood at 11.9 per 100,000 persons in 2013 (50 new cases), dropping to 11.0 in 2014 (47 new cases).

Answering a question by Claudette Buttigieg (PN), Health Minister Konrad Mizzi said the number of new cases in the EU/EEA region in 2013 amounted to 12.7 per 100,000.
