People who are prescribed Tamiflu should send someone over 18 years to collected it from the following places:

Government pharmacies:

B’Kara, Paola, Mosta, Cospicua, Floriana, Qormi, Luqa, Gżira

Monday to Friday 08.00 – 13.00

Saturday 08.00 – 12.00

Mount Carmel Hospital

Monday to Friday 08.00 – 14.30

Saturday 08.00 – 12.00

Karen Grech Hospital

Monday to Friday 08.00 – 15.30

At these times, Tamiflu will not be given to people over 18 from Mater Dei Hospital. It can be collected from Mater Dei as follows:

Monday to Saturday 13.30 – 08.00

Sundays and public holidays 08.00 – 08.00

In Gozo, Tamiflu can be collected from the Gozo General Hospital pharmacy between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. and from the administrative office between 1 p.m. and 8 a.m.

The government said that on the recommendation of the World Health Organisation and the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control people with flu symptoms in the following categories will be prescribed Tamiflu without testing.

These are:

  • Pregnant women
  • Children under five years
  • People with flu and showing signs of complications
  • People in greater risk of developing complications.

Those not in the above categories will not be prescribed Tamiflu but will be treated as if they are suffering from normal flu.
