Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has dismissed reports that manager Roberto Mancini’s job is under threat.
The former Man. City manager has come under scrutiny lately after going four Serie A games without a win and being sent off from the touchline during the 3-0 defeat to rivals Milan on Sunday.
Mancini was sent to the stands for making an insulting gesture following a decision which did not go his side’s way, and there have been re-ports of a bust-up with Mauro Icardi.
However Ausilio said: “Talk of Mancini leaving is laughable.
“He’s happy with us, we’re happy with him – we’re all happy. The squad is satisfied.
“There can’t ever be a team which dominates for the whole season, and I’m talking about those with the best squads too.
“That includes Inter, a squad which has been renewed with a lot of guys from other clubs. We knew there would be a difficult period, but Inter have always fought despite the bad luck.
“Mancini is the same coach who created the winning Inter of a few years ago, but he needs time. The results will come.”
