The foundation stone of the Ta' Maġġi industrial park in Żabbar, a private initiative, was laid yesterday.

The park will span an area of 10,000 square metres and accommodate 78 garages to be used by small and medium-sized enterprises. The concept behind the park, was praised by Finance Minister Tonio Fenech, who said that the entrepreneurs behind the project conducted extensive research into the needs of SMEs.

Thanks to this interaction, he said, the design of the park evolved into one that can be applied to both commercial and industrial purposes.
