Vaccination for the A H1N1 virus will be available for everybody as from tomorrow, the Secretariat for Community Care said this afternoon.

People can call at health centres between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. or at Gozo General Hospital between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. up to February 6.

The Identity Card has to be produced.

The secretariat said that 56,550 people, including young children and those in vulnerable groups, had received the vaccine so far.

That is well short of the original target take-up of 100,000 by January 10.

A second consignment of 100,000 doses is to arrive in Malta tomorrow afternoon. The first batch of 100,000 doses was delivered on December 29.
