A 24-year-old Maltese woman suffered lacerations to her feet when she was hit by a boat propeller at Sta Marija Bay in Comino this afternoon. 

The incident happened when the woman fell overboard.

Volunteer rescuers of the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps assisted her on site and transported her to Mgarr Harbour, from where she was transported to Gozo General Hospital in an ambulance.

The ERRC provides rescue services in Comino and Ramla Bay in Gozo. It will provide lifeguarding coverage in Marsalforn Bay from next Saturday.
