The Swieqi Sports and Social, in conjunction with the Swieqi Local Council, will be marking the locality’s day of activities on Friday with a 5km road race and a 1.3km walk and fun run.

The races will be held under the auspices of Athletics Malta and runners will be assisted by police and wardens along the route. Participa­tion is free and those born in 1995 or before can take part in the 5km run.

There will be various trophies awarded to the winners and podium finishers besides prizes to those Swieqi residents who distinguish themselves during the races.

Application forms may be collected from the Parish Church offices or the Swieqi Local Council. One may also obtain more details by phoning 7923-1970 or 7946-6393.
