Two immigrants were this afternoon given suspended jail terms after they pleaded guilty to being in possession of false documents.

Toure Issa, 24, of Mali and Buli Bakar, 28, of Ivory Coast were accused of giving immigration officers false information.

Mr Issa was charged with being in possession of a passport belonging to someone else. He was jailed nine months suspended for two years.

Mr Bakar, who was charged with using fake documents, was jailed 18 months suspended for two years.
