A deficit of €35.2 million was reported for the January-November period, after recurrent revenue rose by 5.9 per cent, but expenditure – both recurrent and capital – increased by 9.3 per cent.

A year before, the government reported a surplus of €84.6 million for the same period.

By the end of November 2018, Central Government Debt stood at €5,199.6 million, a €199.3 million drop from the corresponding month last year.
