As temperatures soar and leisure time increases, air-conditioned cinemas are again expected to be one of our favourite places to be entertained this summer.

Fans of the big screen are not likely to be let down, as KRS Releasing Limited has lined up 37 productions, including 11 blockbusters, for the hot months ahead.

Most are action films, but there is also a plethora of dramas, comedies, adventures, thrillers and animation features.

There is even a Maltese connection in one of the movies: the director of Anti-Social, Reg Traviss, has a Maltese mother.

One of the first summer films to hit the screens in July will be Terminator Genisys 3D, which sees Arnold Schwarzenegger back as the Guardian.

Another highly anticipated offering is Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation 3D, in which Ethan (Tom Cruise) and his team take on their most impossible mission yet: eradicating the Syndicate – an international rogue organisation as highly skilled as they are.
