Two Maltese University students, Karl Agus, and Daniela Bartolo, were recently elected on the European Students’ Union’s Social Affairs Committee and the Committee for Internal Development respectively.

They were elected during the 59th ESU board meeting held in Tel Aviv-Yafo in Israel. Their mandate is for a year and will start on January 1.

The ESU is an umbrella organisation of 44 national student unions of 37 countries. It represents and promotes the educational, social, economic and cultural interests of over 11 million students in Europe.

Mr Agius, a Science student reading for a Masters in Biology, is currently secretary general of the University Students Council (KSU), while Ms Bartolo is a fifth year Law student and a student representative on University Senate.
