The radio competition with the largest prize ever came to an end last week when Clinton Calleja, a 20-year-old MCAST mechanical student, guessed the exact number of signatures there were on the Kia Picanto during the Nescafé Big Breakfast Show on XFm Radio 100.2 FM.

The competition, conceived by Carlo Borg Bonaci last June, started at the International Fair of Malta, where visitors to the Kia stand signed their names on the body of a brand new Kia Picanto to participate.

There were more than 3,000 entries in total. Participants were given an entry form with a password and phrase, which they had to recite when called by the breakfast show host live on the programme.

The final 100 then had to guess the exact number of signatures on the car to win it. Mr Calleja was the 12th caller and he guessed the exact number, on his mother's suggestion.

Mr Calleja was presented with the keys to the car on October 14 at the Kia showroom in Qormi. Simon and Mark Grima, directors of XFm, attended the presentation with Mr Borg Bonaci, the show's presenter, and Matthew Fenech of Easysell Kia Malta.

The Kia Picanto competition was sponsored by Ambi-Pur car air freshners, Princes and Yellow Pages.
