Last weekend the University Students' Council (KSU) hosted a training session on training in student-centred learning.

The event formed part of the project Time for Student Centred Learning (T4SCL), which is headed by the European Students Union and Education International and includes a number of European student unions.

This followed an opening conference in Bucharest, Romania, where the results of a survey were discussed. The main points that arose during this conference were on the need to define student-centred learning and allocate funds for such a teaching system.

The Malta event was aimed at continuing what was learnt in Romania by implementing the best examples of student-centered classrooms and discussing ways of putting them into practice.

It was led by two trainers - Nikki Heerens from the UK and Koen Geven from France.

The sessions included one on the different roles of students and staff, as well as an interesting session on an action plan at a national level.

Although the training was intensive, all participants had a chance to enjoy Malta during the many social events that KSU organised for them.
