A group of 36 BOV employees were recently awarded with certificates, diplomas and degrees during the annual graduation ceremony held by the Institute of Financial Services Malta, after they successfully completed courses of studies in diverse areas of financial services.

Four employees from the 36-strong BOV group were also awarded prizes for ranking as the top local candidates in their respective area of study. Fiona Catania topped the Chartered Banker Diploma, Maria Scerri the Professional Bankers Diploma, Keith Mifsud the Diploma for Financial Advisors and Clifton Caruana the Certified European Financial Analyst.

Anthony Scicluna, BOV CO ethics and employee development, said: “We are proud that Bank of Valletta had the largest number of graduates who achieved such important qualifications for our sector. As the leading bank in Malta, BOV believes wholeheartedly in the importance of training and development of its employees to ensure that customers are provided with expert financial services. We appreciate the fact that our employees strive hard to develop themselves and we understand their personal sacrifice to balance life, work and further their studies.”

Apart from the numerous courses organised by BOV, which is also a licensed higher education institution, BOV provides assistance through financial grants and study leave, thus encouraging employees to develop themselves in professional qualifications such as those offered by the Institute of Financial Services Malta.
