The schooner Fernades, which was beached on Monday evening after hitting a reef, was towed out of Bahar ic-Caghaq this afternoon.

Water had filled the hull of the 26-metre vessel as it listed in shallow water after the incident, but temporary repairs were carried out yesterday. The water was then pumped out and the schooner was refloated.

Floatation bags could be seen under the hull as the schooner was finally pulled away today.
