ShareMalta - the Support for Homeless Animals, Research and Education - will be at Bay Street Complex, St Julians tomorrow offering advice on caring and training cats and dogs.

In the evening, the voluntary organisation will hold a parade by a few stray dogs looking for a home. This will be followed by the Furry Friends Festa, a fund-raising show with live performances by Klinsmann, Renato, and Rita Pace, who will be signing their new ShareMalta CD for animals between 5 and 9 p.m. at Hard Rock Café, Bay Street.

The organisation has no animal sanctuary and works primarily in research and education in schools, teaching citizenship skills, while working with animals.

ShareMalta is undertaking a pilot cat-neutering project working with boys from the Mtarfa School, who will be designing and building cat cafés (shelters).

ShareMalta welcomes any help it can get, whether in the form of a secretary, drivers, foster carers, organisers and teachers. It also has a number of kittens for adoption.
