Farmers at Mgarr have expressed concern and anger over a pack of dogs which have been killing sheep in their farms at night. 

One of the farmers, Jason Vella, told timesofmalta.com that farmers all over the village were dreading the mornings, when they visiting the pens to find a mess of dead and injured livestock. 

"Sheep are being killed and cut to pieces" he said. 

At least 16 sheep have been killed in six farms in a week or so, and many others were injured.

The farmers have reported the incident to the police and the council.
