Tonio Fenech, a true Christian and family man, a husband and father, happens to be Finance Minister. He is a human being, who at any moment in time can have a lapse in judgment, taken under a combination of stress and emotion.

So what is this fuss all about? In the fast life we live in, should we be judging a father of a young boy, who decides to take a moment in his busy schedule to recharge his batteries for a few hours to go watch a football match in in Spain (with two prominent businessmen)?

This was a decision made at a particular moment in time to enjoy family, because "time happens to be an important commodity" for some people, more important than the financial dealings that are being insinuated by some.

The minister knows the parameters of his duties and office, taking the time to consult the Prime Minister. He was open and transparent.

It must also be insulting for these prominent businessmen, who are also being scrutinised over an innocent getaway from the daily packed working routine on a private jet. It is insane to be so judgmental.

Many say this is a small island with a high percentage of closed-minded people who are spending too much of their time judging and looking inwards at our society, instead of looking outwards.
