Reductions in the price of oil are not being reflected in Malta as they were in other countries, the Nationalist Party said.
The party’s statement comes days after the government announced that the price of petrol and diesel would be reduced.
“While the price of oil continues to go down, the government is only reducing the price of petrol by 3c and 4c for diesel,” PN deputy leader Mario de Marco said.
This would not only affect the quality of life of families but it also undermined businesses’ competitiveness, Dr de Marco said.
The PN appealed to the government to stop the “daylight robbery” and to give families and businesses what they were due.
