Starwood Hotels & Resorts has launched spgtv.net, a website based on the TV productions of SPGTV, the first lifestyle TV channel designed by a hotel industry and broadcasting in Europe, Africa and Middle East in more than 280 hotels and resorts, with individually- tailored versions for each of the company brands.

The website offers the opportunity to watch the best feature stories broadcast on SPGTV with more in-depth information at any time, adding the possibility of sharing them with friends and rating them according to individual opinion, providing comments, suggesting the next feature topic and instantly booking at a Starwood hotel to directly live the experiences narrated on the reportages.

"SPGTV has proven to be a great success story over the last four years, capturing the attention and the favours of over 80 per cent of our customers, and has been awarded in 2007 for creative excellence in luxury communication," said Marco Ferrari, vice-president external communication for Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Europe, Africa and Middle East. He added that the website will offer the opportunity of providing additional connection and inspiration to customers through an enlarged communication platform.
