Nadur Primary School celebrated World Mission Day and 'Stand Up - Take Action' with a symbolic human chain of STOP.

All schoolchildren and staff participated in the special event to increase awareness and empathy with millions of homeless and hungry people across the world.

Participants wanted to convey a very important message: let us all participate to make poverty history just six years before the 2015 deadline to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon chose these words to strongly urge governments to engage constructively in the preparation for a high level meeting in September to review progress towards the MDGs and other international development goals.
