I fully concur with Antoinette Maher (September 13) with regard to lost parcels sent from Australia.

Last August, my daughter posted what was supposed to be my birthday present, consisting of personal belongings. The parcel was sent from Mt Buller, in Victoria.

By the time of writing (September 16), no parcel has yet been delivered.

It is absolutely no pleasure not receiving gifts, especially when the person involved goes into the trouble of purchasing the items, apart from the cost of posting them from Australia.

As far as I am concerned, this should not happen in this time and age.

I suggest that Maltapost should verify with their counterparts in Australia and find a way that all parcels are first of all delivered and then on time.
