HSBC has sponsored the restoration of five niches in Sta Venera as part of its scheme to support local councils.

The decades-old stone niches were restored by students from the Heritage Masonry Skills course at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology under the supervision of Heritage Malta.

Works have been going on since April. The niches that were restored are those St Rocco, St Paul, St George, St Joseph and the Sacred Heart.
