Students of St Theresa College Girls’ Junior Lyceum, together with Gestfest, recently organised ‘Niġri Biex Ngħin; Għinni Ħabib’ (I run to help; help me, friend) during which they collected donations for voluntary groups including Malta Community Chest Fund, Caritas, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Inspire, and the school benevolent fund.

A total of €9,471 was collected during the campaign, which included a car show and a fun run, followed by a charity concert.

Also present at the fun run were students from other schools, such as Ta’ Paris Boys Secondary, St Venera Boys Secondary, Maria Regina College Girls Junior Lyceum, St Ignatius College Girls Junior Lyceum, San Andrea College and St Benedict Boys College.

The event was also attended by Caritas Malta director Karm Farrugia, Inspire’s Alexia Sammut and Cystic Fibrosis Trust chairperson Josette Falzon, as well as St Teresa head of school Robert Borg and college principal Frank Fabri.

There was also an art exhibition held by the students and their teachers.
