Beckham reconsiders future: David Beckham has put a question mark over his future at Real Madrid after two of his children were targeted by paparazzi. The England captain told reporters of two incidents earlier this month which he felt went beyond what was acceptable even for such a high-profile player and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria. "I'm at the point where I don't know what to do, because it's my children now and that's different," Beckham said. "I believe that when my children are going to primary school, nursery or football school they should be left alone. And they're not. And they're not even with their parents.. So, for me, it's becoming a big problem," said the 29-year-old father of three.

Iran Win: Vahid Hashemian struck twice as Iran beat Japan 2-1 yesterday to throw their Asian World Cup qualifying group wide open. Iran and Bahrain top Group B with four points each from two games and an identical goal difference in the final round of 2006 qualifiers. Bayern Munich's Hashemian pounced on sloppy Japan defending to fire Iran ahead after 25 minutes. Japan's Takashi Fukunishi volleyed an equalise in the 66th minute after good work from substitute Atsushi Yanagisawa. Hashemian rose to head home Ali Karimi's cross in the 75th minute to secure a precious victory for Iran.

Reyes: Arsenal forward Jose Antonio Reyes said that he would not rule out a possible future move to Real Madrid. "It's clear that any player in the world would like to play for Real Madrid," he said. "It's a very big club and you should never close any doors." The 21-year-old, who joined Arsenal from Sevilla for a club record fee of £17 million in January 2004, has been linked with a move to Real after reports surfaced about him struggling to adapt to life in England.

Bonus: Germany's players will each receive a record €300,000 if they win the 2006 World Cup. The German FA agreed to the figure demanded after months of negotiations. The DFB had first offered 150,000, then 250,000.
